At last, watched The Lake House. Having watched the korean version, i remained neutral throughout the show since i knew the plot and stuffs. Instead i focus on how the actors bring out the characters of the leads.
Sandra Bullocks and Keanu Reeves both displayed the beauty of the show, but at a older level. Due to the fact that both of them are around their 30s-40s, it was akin to watching a romance between the matured age group. The movie wasnt as dull. Everything was paced delightfully and the director explained alot of the details better than IL Mare. Probably due to the fact that it was a remake. The director and the crew was able to alter and fix the movie. The ending did wrap the whole story up better than IL Mare. At least it couldnt catch you scratching your head to link the scenes together. Except i always had this feeling while watching the show, its a remake. Its a remake. I rate it a four out of five.
I liked the house in IL Mare better. It seemed more serene, which fits the plot better. The one in The Lake House seemed so similar to one you see in a horror film. With glasses at all side of the house, the fengshui definitely will mark it fail. Somemore with a tree in the centre of house, its absolutely creative but eccentric.
Comparing both IL Mare & The Lake House. IL Mare.
