It was Shuying's post birthday celebration at the ZOO! We have been arranging this trip eversince june. Rise early, took 171 and reached our destination around 9am. Siti & me even tabao mcDonald breakfast from northpoint, including shuying's shares. Did finish the whole 2.2km zoo trail in only 3-4 hours, then we lurked around till 4+pm. One thing i discovered. The zoo isnt as big/exciting as i thought it to be since my last visit, when i was still a child. I believe they hid most of the exciting wild lifes at the night safari too! The variety of the animals at the zoo is scarce. The major occupants are the monkeys.. I didnt manage to capture all animals in the photos; the crocodiles, jaguars, leopard, hippo & seals.. as im too occupied with myself, the animals and siti/shuying. Below are a gist of our zoo trip. The three of us were super quirky and in high spirits. Oh then shuying got us each a exquisite pocket mirror from Japan. Yes she just went there again last week. Thankyou shuying. A day to remember in years to come, i believe.

On the rhino . .

"Elephants!" Xiao fei Xiang & Da Xiang.

You have to pay 5$ in order to take photos with the animals. I just feel like capturing some scenery. See the guy. Hes on the verge to telling me to stop taking photos. Luckily i was quick enough & sneaked away before he caught me red-handed.

Feeding on their freshy greenies. They were sort of pigs& squirrels? I forgot the names.

Im exclaiming in fear. Not digging my nose.

The tiger are so scary and real that i dont dare to stand next to it. I even trembled when i looked straight at the face. You noticed its either siti or shuying.

White tigers. Beautiful!!

The white tigers were restricted around the area that this tiger(right) were prancing left right left right.

At the "Australian Outback" section. The kangaroos.

I told shuying the kangaroos may be the dinosaurs descendents.

Remembering Steve Irwin. Caught this hanging at the exit of the "Australian Outback". Steve was in Singapore Zoo last august for the opening ceremony. Too bad hes gone now and will never be back to witness the growing of the "Australian Outback".

im not sure of the name. It has a blue-golden crown. A very pretty bird which resembles the peacock.

It read that 8 pigs was traded for the above bird in the past.

A awkward picture. We were pausing at the scene for quite a while as we were pondering what they are doing.

To find out, The old monkey was picking off the lices for the younger one.

I was puzzled why these penguins were so skinny. To find out they are african penguins from the introductory plate. My explanation is "Their fats were burn off because Africa is too hot".

Shuying asked me to act like the Miss fat seal next to me. WAH. OK. i know its not a nice pic.


The chinese tourists. Noticed the boy gets off the seal? Guess he noticed i was snapping pictures of him.. oops.

I should place my hand there. this is a huge fake durian. even my butt is smaller.. ok can imagine?

Crocodiles close up? NO, it was some sort of reptiles. It was only around the length of your long ruler.

Giant tortoise. This time round. It was real big. Its head was the size of two fists of mine.

Moo Moo . . The zookeeper on the left was a very nice man. He even told us that the black black thing is a pig. (in the next picture).

Quite embarrassing. As i was posing for the camera, some angmohs walked past and were amused by my pose... omo.

At the zoo, met alot Chinese, Japanese, Koreans & angmoh tourists. Right, other than them who else i should meet on e tuesday morning at the zoo? Most people will be either at work or at school! Also saw a bunch of nursery school kids who made me realised how fast time had whizzed past. I was once in their position enjoying my childhood. Now i went back to the zoo with another status; to relinquish the childhood times. In the future, probably i might go back holding the hands of the young ones. My children? No la maybe my bunch of nieces or nephews. haha. Chongmal Ugi ineh.
