WOW. I just finished this drama. ILJIMAE 一枝梅。 On and off, i watched the first tear-jerking five episodes last month. First knew about this from shuying's blog~ and shes been on how exciting it is. Indeed it is good. Was surprised how i hold on my urge to finish it. Then was reminded of this drama because cabletv is playing it end december and i dont want to wait in front of the tv for one slow episode. Hence, yeah i just began watching the grew up part episode 6 onwards yesterday and i finished everything now! Absolutely thrilling! i would say. My hearts thumped so hard during the important scenes. The plots and the twist to everything just spur me to play one episode after another!!! I love how they explained the twist when there is one~ except that theres too much edit of the scenes here and there, jumping around. If i couldnt play the video like what i did on the computer, i believe by watching it on tv alone, you wont really understand some of the parts.

Wow, i like iljimae. Very different from the traditional version i watched, of the China dramas and movies. SBS is quiet brutal to the audience isnt it. They force quite a few plot to happen although at times im feeling, it shouldnt be heading like that. Some of the episodes.. or i should say most of them! made me tear hard~ that i dont dare to attach too much feelings to the final few episodes, just afraid i'll get depression~ Must say SBS has a spontaneous and lively iljimae. I love his lines in the drama. Very brain-provoking. so cute alright. Lee Jun Ki is cut out for such a role didnt he? Since King's Clown. Although i didnt quite like the drama in the first place cuz it doesnt look like an iljimae show, more of a korean drama for iljimae's part is really minor. NOt much on the development of iljimae into a chivalrous hero only until the middle end. So i was abit disappointed.

The plus points were the tragic scenes and the bonding ties featured in the dramas. Its a pity SBS didnt give the audience a wrap on iljimae romance. The wrap was more on the identity of the various characters made known, martial arts, fights scene. Rather the drama seem to have a focus on the bonds between iljimae and his close ones, family, iljimae's wits, instead of his lover. I like this because typical korean drama usually had its focus on the romance but this one didnt. Man, i hope theres a second installment to iljimae! i miss iljimae now~~ but ... perhaps no since the second, may not be as thrilling as the first.
