For me, i visited Novena Square and realised that it had a drastic change! Used to frequent the square because of the home U basketball training at MHA building. Was aware of the construction work which had been going on since 2005 but didnt know they could actually build a 3-4floor shopping centre on this small path/area in mere 2 year. I vividly remembered that the construction was still on the first floor by end 2005! Fast, very fast. I was exclaiming "wah, wah" on every inch in the new square when i was walking around. Infact, the square was bringing back some sweet memories, especially the adidas shop, the ice cream stall & the bubble tea drink store, which are still operating today.
In the past dramas, i used to hear lines "Singapore had changed so much the few years i was abroad". Indeed, changes were everywhere everyday ~ Yet due to everyone's hectic schedule, people only realise major changes and not the minor ones. We only realised changes are taking place when they are significant enough to raise our attention. I did mention before i dont like too much changes before it'll alter the ultimate-origin source of that something. However does change refer to improving as well? If its so, and that the world has been improving, shouldnt we be improving too? If not we'll be thrown too far behind and results in detaching from the society, a pit which i almost fall into.
SO. Sqaure2 had alot small individual stores, selling korean accessories, food and even the groceries. Novena could almost feign as a korean square at its level 3 huh. Mentioning the grocery store, the ajumma there is very friendly and could speak a little English. Unlike the usual shops, she is very generous and kept on asking us to try the cosmetics products.. Leading my mum, whos initially uninterested, to buying quite a number of things, including a jar of kimchi! I even talked to her with a little korean. Alright, at last i can use MY korean!
Lets go on to Sunday. Had bowling with sis & dad at Safra!! It was extremely fun bowling with them, especially my daddy who claimed that it has been almost 15 years since he last bowled. Played a total of 90 games and oh my god. i was defeated by the pins. My points reflected on the screen was miserably LOW i tell you! When i tried the correct posture, the ball would steer to the side! While at least some pins dropped when my posture is wrong! Ah. I need some tips from a expert.
And i had Cream Brulee again!

Forgot the pics for the baked rice.
Monday is korean class; very interesting and the lesson had gone into final consonants after the vowels/consonants.. Had previously worked myself on the language for almost a yr or two, hence the class went easy for me. Songsaengnim also asked if i had any korean friends as she felt my progress is incredibly good. Obviously my answer is no, other than the kangta fans..
During class songsaengnim often touched on some issues which indicated that she has not much friends in Singapore. She added that she has not been to Sentosa too. I was thinking OMG, shouldnt she have visited this most popular spot of attraction during first few weeks shes here? Her explain was that she has nobody to go with ??? This implies how lonely she is. Isnt korean hot property in Asian countries currently? I remembered swee always told me :If somebody always think that somebody will be doing something for A, eventually nobody will be doing anything for somebody anymore". And i ended up with a conclusion "Assumptions may not be always true". After that my friend and me were thinking "We dont mind bringing you around!" Im not sure if we are really kind or is it based on the pure fact that shes a korean, or that hey shes our teacher, we should be nice to her? I dont really know it myself too.
Today i went visiting my friend's mother in the hospital. Pains me to see her lying there, using quite an amount of effort to breathe. I hope she'd really get well soon. While her relatives tapped the water on her lips and changed the towel on her head every once a while, my heart will shout to her "wake up auntie!" "wake up now!", very foolish of me to go to the extend that she might hear me! I'd really thought so just now though.
I knew i had been very unfaithful to driving lessons. But hey they really sucks for posting me such a late date for the test when i actually booked in JAN.
