Shakespeares' A MidSummer Night's Dream" @ Fort Canning Park.

35% of the audiences were angmohs, and rest, mostly anglos & the 'ENGLISH-speaking' people . Almost felt im in another country or something. It was a sheer new experience for me to be at such a place watching, A PLAY. The organiser made the act-out different by having it outdoors and stages that reached out to the audiences. It gets the audiences to participate and felt closer to the artiste whos portraying the roles. The crew did local-ize parts of the plots in the play, so that the locals can connect to it. For instance, Chinese marriage traditional costumes, childhood 123-guess-guess-game . . Due to its outdoor location, most audiences brought mats and newspaper and picnic there. Yes it supposed to be a picnic-play. It was a spectacular evening. You see people sipping red/white wine or champagne, while indulging in their snacks, cakes or even fruits. And i mean it, they are drinking alot wine. They popped bottlesssss. Swee & I could even smell their wine. Very fragrant. Not too bad for us, we had cookies & tarts spree at Plaza Singapura before heading there.

During the break, we lie down on our mat under the stars, nope, sorry, its the white furry clouds. It was a great feeling. How i wish i could just close my eyes and had a little wink. [Yep the play was a little bit, uninteresting in the middle] Half of the time i wasnt paying full attention to the dialogues because something was lingering in my mind & that i dont really understand them. It was a long time since literature class. And I still couldnt believe i actually attended a play. Thanks to Apple who bridged the opportunity[he sold us the tix] and to Sweeling making it possible. I love tonight's sunday.

The entrance

An overview of the location

The warmth Swee & Me.

A little posting on the plays but the photos dont do the exact stage justice due to lightings, blurry images & the views. The lighting effect was good during the play, they dim the stage and brighten it with colurfuls shones at the right time.
[We actually aint suppose to take any shoots as well]

The actors walking all over the places. Stages. Connecting with the audiences.

The box located at the far end, sometimes with/without light. It was a setting for the princess's home, the ferry. the home. whatever. It does wonders.

The play finished on time, having the crew bowing to the audiences. They have quite a large cast. With around 50 or so local & angmoh juveniles/extras with the fairies and the devils roles. But this is what ive gotten.

Headed to Newton Circus for late dinner after the play. When we were enjoying the delicacies, we heard a loud bang from the direction of the expressway. Shocking everyone.. Then you can see people from all spots were heading to where the sound came from. Then swee sent me to go find out whats happening. She said so that after i returned, she could go as well. I thought shes hugely cute. Apparently I saw nothing and went back to our food. I did see some uncles running to opposite side of the road though. After our meal, we decided to find out the source of the bangs. KPO u can say. Then we found out that the following:

Ambulance arrived shortly. Guess nobody was badly injured.

Given our observation, we felt the right front tyre of the car burst and cause the car to skit, resulting in the skits & bangs earlier on. Not too bad a car accident i guessed. And no, i didnt manage to catch sight of the Car plate. I wish i could. But i couldnt find the plate infront of the car, maybe it dropped.

We are bad posers. Its the same OLD SMILEs.

I maybe framed alone.

Infact my best pal is just right beside me

Then we got a little bored waiting for the train with full stomach

No, we werent kissing at all, if this is what you are thinking!

Goodnight & i wish no monday blues later on in school. The last 3rd econs class.
Ok, reminds me of the lecturer's famous line, during the last thursday econs class.
"Hitler dont like civil war. Apparently, a civil war is too civilise"
The class burst out laughing.
The University lecturers are, so . . cranky. I love their sense of humour, including Doctor Toon.
